From March 23 to 25th, 2023, Dr. Fillo and PhD student, Julia Budiongan, MPH, attended the Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) Annual Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CPA is sponsored by the Society of Addiction Psychology through the American Psychological Association Division 50. Budiongan presented a qualitative research poster titled, “Motives for social control of drinking among romantic partners.” Much of the research presented at CPA aligns with the research in the CHARM lab, such as military alcohol use, dyadic relationships, and other topics related to alcohol misuse. Kudos to Budiognan and Dr. Fillo for bringing attention to this innovative aspect of close relationships research to the CPA audience!
