As part of her ongoing involvement and service to the Society of Behavioral Medicine, Dr. Fillo recently undertook a new role as the civilian co-chair of the organization’s Military and Veteran Health Special Interest Group. This committee oversees work on important military and veteran health issues like post-traumatic stress disorder, depression treatment and substance use. Dr. Fillo brings a wealth of experience researching and writing about military and veteran health issues and will champion the committee’s mission to improve the wellbeing and safety of service members, veterans, and their families.
