Undergraduate research assistant Daniela Buniak Lopez was recently awarded a grant from the Support for Minority Advancement in Research Training program. The University of South Carolina awards these grants to research mentors and students as part of its ongoing efforts to encourage under-represented minority (URM) undergraduate students to pursue research opportunities during the summer and to learn more about graduate programs at the university. Buniak Lopez’s project focused on examining stress and trauma coping among US military service members and veterans and came about as a result of her existing interest in this topic. Congratulations, Daniela, and thank you for all of your hard work for the CHARM Lab.
